im building a cage for my future blue tegu. from reading i kinda know the basics but im still unsure aout what wood to use. melamine or plywood? and how do i make it waterproof? i have the seal the edges inside right? what exactly do i have to do for the interior? im trying not to ask many questions but i need details. i also need to know more info about reptisun and powersun. reptisun needs a fixture, where would i find one? thanks a bunch in advance. :D [/b]
Melamine is pretty easy to seal since only the edges will absorb moisture. Plywood is fine. Use non-toxic paint and then seal the corners and edges with non-toxic silicon.

Are you talking about the tube reptisuns? Those fixtures can be bought at walmart for 6.00..Ive had bad luck with Powersun and Im thinking others have to, there is a big discussion about them on Kingsnake..Im hoping to use this bulb for my new cage(which I wont start on till this next summer)
