hey,

Tessa does this weird thing where when she finishes eating, or sometimes in between she rubs her face on the substrate and sometimes basking branch. Almost like she's wiping any food off her mouth or something lol It's really strange. Is this a normal behavior? Just curious because my other lizards don't do it. thanks

It's quite normal. It's the basically the same as a kid eating and wiping his/her mouth on his/her shirt sleave.

Mine does the same thing :) I find it quite funny gives the little guys a bit of character compared to some of my other critters.

All my reptiles do it...even my snake when a paw of the mice its eating doesnt want to work with it and stikes out of the corner of its mouth...
Only my tortoise doesnt do it and he really ought to...i sometimes see him basking with a piece of leave stuck to its shin or something...altho it sometimes gives really funny pics :D
