Can I use regular oatmeal for superworm bedding? What else could I use?

It's all I use. Just don't get it wet.

i use grits or oats w/ cricket food added and sweet potato slices for water and that seems to work well. grits may be cheaper than oats.

You might try unmedicated Chick starter. I have had good success with that.

I have found unproccessed bran flakes at Albertsons super mart, It cost less the $2 a box and works great and keeps them from eating one another. Just be careful with getting it wet with anything, it will mold and kill the worms.

I got 40 lbs of bran from the local feed store for $7.
If there's more folks around you, this is great. If it's just you, then you'll end up like me.. with 70lbs of bran... since I swear the stuff BREEDS when I'm not looking at it.
I used the cheap plastic drawers from Walmart to keep the superworms in, and that means easy cleanup, they take less room, and you can put a LOT of superworms in the 3 drawer things.
