Either way you should make sure they are fertilized eggs. Myself as well as a few others I know have fed scrambled. Bennett feeds pigeon eggs whole (shell and all) although this may get messy. I intend to try it soon.

they swallow them whole never even crack the shell. When I feed chicken eggs I just cook and serve with the shell

I'm going to try hard boiled eggs, sometime soon! I think this is a great alternative food source, on the rodent off days. Excellent protein!

The key is to not overuse infertile eggs. Cooked or raw is ok. Feeding with the shell is good too. Eggs would be better if you could find a source of fertilized eggs instead of the store boughten ones.

You can purchase fertilized chicken eggs at the store, you just have to look for them.

I had no idea what they were...turns out they ones people normally eat aren't although you can find fertilized ones.

the normal ones in the store arent fertile they just raise hens and if the happen to get roosters they kill them.. when raising them for eggs or meat all the male chicks are killed and only the females live.. maybe this is where the feeder chicks come from?i would hate to think they went to waste

i feed gonzo scrambled eggs with a lil ham and shell scrambled in just not to mutch cus last time i left a lil under a hole egg and he got bloted and he spent the next 2 days after dinner in the tub swiming and soking in nice warm water :) my dad said i might b able to make gonzo a pop down day time cage out in the screen room or the florida room when we get them back! yay!
