i was asked to post this.

thaw frozen rat. as soon as you open baggy wiggle the rat with tongs in front of the snake. try this for a few minutes. if that doesn't work then leave the thawed warm rat in cage or tote with the snake. dont bother the snake for a few hours. dont even peek to see if he ate.

if none of this doesn't work then try
1. let snake go in his hide, wiggle the rat in front of the hide. curiousity gets the best of the snake and they usually will strike.

2. try putting the rat and snake in a pillow case and tie the top. put pillow case in a dark area and leave totally alone for a few hours.

3. if all this fails you can brain the rat. cut from its nose to its ears and let the brain stick out. leave the rat with the snake that way for hours. do not disturb!

if you need more help you can email me. evilbitch@yahoo.com

proper way to thaw a rat or mouse.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How to properly thaw rats and mice:
Put all the dead prey in sealed baggys. Freeze them. On feeding day take out the baggies needed. put baggies with rat in them in a bowl of warm water. when the rat is thawed add hot water in the bowl. get the rat slightly warm to the touch and feed the snake immediately after opening the baggy, that way the rat smell is real strong. make sure the rat is totally thawed. feel its belly and make sure it is nice and warm and squishy. also check the head and make sure that is thawed too.

do not microwave the rat or put it in the oven!
