Shedding

My red Karel has shed its skin after coming out of hibernation. Now some weeks later he again is shading its skin.
I am amazed its that quik after his former shading...
He is already 4 years old. Could it be he might begin growing again in a quicker rate now hes in a good home? (former owner didnt have him on right temp and as hes that small I am wondering how much food he did get in his youth which was with yet another owner)

anything is possible. I'm sure he has access to alot more food and maybe still has some growing to do!

if nutrition was holding him back, then yes he can still grow a bit more. It is also possible that shedding after a brumation is normal and then after getting a bunch to eat after a long sleep, he is ready again.

My 30 month old B & W sheds about every 4-6 weeks at the moment.
