what are the signs?

charlie, my argentine red tegu is about 3foot now and has more cheeks now then he did before still nothing major.
but my question is when will his jowls really start coming in like what length.
and how do you feel the spurs because im still not positive on his sex.

It's not necessarily spurs that you're looking for, but "buttons", two little bumps on each side of the vent. They should be visible at this size.

I would think that jowls would be pretty big, too.

well im back and kind of surprised...
charlie whom ive thought for so long to be a guy ISN'T
charlie doesn't have those "bumps" that daves tegu had like no sign of them at all so its official that charlie is a girl.

im actually kind of happy because i know somebody i could breed charlie with in the future if i ever wanted to.

Hi Spencer.Welcome back.I haven't seen you on here for I while.Hope all is well.Yea, I think if Charlie would be a male you would be able to feel those beeds ( bumps ) by now.I could tell with Leonidas and Zeus when they were about 8 months old.
