eggs?

Well its no go on the turkey! My Gold accepted once, on the first day of feeding it and that was it! He shows no interest in it, what so ever now. I guess I'll try eggs next. How often, do you guys feed eggs, to your Tegus :?:

I try to feed eggs no more than once a week. Eggs are a treat food and do not make a good staple. Although my tegu loves them he always gets diarrhea from them.

Actually, for the record, tegus are one of the few lizards that are supposed to have loose stools. So loose stool = normal = not bad.

Try mixing the eggs with the turkey, or scrambling the eggs "not cooked" and pour the juice over the turkey ...

Thanks for the tip. I do find my tegus stools to be looser than some of my other lizards but when I feed egg it comes out as a liquid which I don't consider normal.
