I've been putting Vitamin E oil on his toes and it's been making a huge difference. The skin is finally falling off and has stopped bleeding so he isn't biting at them anymore.

My baby Columbian Tegu is seriously eating his toes.
I got him from a previous owner who took very bad care of him. His toes are all bloody and falling off and there's tons of skin on them from...
They've been around each other a lot. Usually it's okay because the dogs are so scared of him. They completely avoid Mang, but if one of the dogs is laying down or sleeping he'll come up and check...
Whenever Mango is out my dogs run away from him. He bites their tails and toes. He's getting big now and he's going to end up biting their toes off.
It's pretty hard to isolate him from the dogs...
Naw, I have no problem with him being a Columbian. I already love him- Even if he hates me, haha.

Hmm, so you think he's Columbian too? When I got him I was told he was an Argentine, but I have had my suspicions. He definitely looks more Columbian.
Paco is my new baby Argentine B&W- He's busy being a cutie.
Mango is the adorable fattie.

I got a new Tegu, Paco, about a week ago from a friend. Paco is still a baby, under a foot long, and is a wild boy. But anyway, my friend had always fed him inside the cage. That's a habit I want to...

He yawned, so naturally I had to make him into a dragon.
Also, for a video of this sleepy lizard; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfmbgXXavkM&feature=youtu.be
I'm looking into getting another Tegu for future breeding with my male Argentine B&W. I know I really want a Blue Tegu (they're adorable), but would a B&W Blue hybrid turn out well? I can't really...
Do you have an enclosure that he would be able to just walk right out of without you having to pick him up? You could just block off a place around his cage then and let him come out by himself, then...
I decided I'd try to make a Youtube channel for my Tegu, Mango. It will probably also have my Redtail Boa and my Pastel Ball Python, too. Definitely more reptiles to come! Even a job at a local...

Haha, my little boy hogs my computer too. :)
Bane is adorable! Awesome name, too. Batman fan?
Mango has 2 jobs; 1. Being a lizard. 2. Being adorable.

It's adorable how he runs up to your hand, I wish my little guy did that. He gets spazzy when he free roams.
In 100% pure honesty I finally got him to do it. I let him chill all day and then he gets bored and he'll scratch up at the glass and then climb up my arm c':I'm 14 too, and got him on a 3 week break...
Damn. I thought he liked me. Working progress I suppose, eh.
(:
I see a lot of people who train their Tegu's to climb onto the person from their cage instead of having their owner pick them up. I really want to know how to do that. He doesn't mind being picked up...
My only concern about letting him chill by the door is that we spray a lot of bugspray outside our house.. I'll try to figure something out though. He HATES the leash being put on him. Working...
Is there an age where you should start to bring your Tegu outside? I have an Argentine B&W, and when I took him outside with a leash on today; he went insane. He ran right under a rock and tried to...
I can't seem to find any forums to discuss issues about them so I figured I'd see if anyone would answer here, so;
I have a red tail boa, named stitches. Shes always been incredibly sweet and...
Haha thanks! He was trying to eat my poptart today, I thought it was adorable. :D
