Full of eggs. Tring to decide if I want or have the time to get an incubator or not.
So my red female is very gravid. Does anybody have an idea of how long it might take for her to lay.
Well unfortunately there is not a happy ending to this story. After 3 months of looking, when I went out in the back this morning I got such a surprise. I saw my long lost female, not more then 20ft...
I can't really think of anything you can do with smoke inhalation. The good news is with him on the ground the smoke would rise above him and hopefully he wasn't breathing in much of it in. If he...
I feed my tegus chicken liver, ground turkey, and F/T chicken parts all the time. In fact when I'm at the store I'm always looking for differnt things i can throw in their cage for them to eat. I...
What a great video txrepgirl....I will follow some of agamas advice and add some layers to the nest. I'm going to make another nest this weekend as well so there are more options. The nest that they...
Bro.......
I've kept tegus outside here for 4 years now. And outside in Virgina were it snowed and got down in the teens. But the ones I've had have always gone down by now. It's not the temps I'm worried about...
So I got these new tegus. Two red females and a B/W male. None of which have started hibernating yet. In fact tonight at somewhere around 35deg. The two reds are out of the hide lying in the open. Is...
Here are a couple of pictures. If they work...I gave her a good warm soaking and set up a hospital type cage, with no sub straight so the wound will stay clean. I was letting her go to sleep for the...
What kind of tegu? Argentine or Colombian?? How old and what size? all the ones I've had have been pretty calm. Only one has ever acted aggressive, but I was pestering him and he just had enough of...
Bubblz, yes....and that is why I usually always quarantine. In fact one of the other tegus I have I quarantine now has developed a skin infection, that I originally thought was just a shedding...
Thanks txrepgirl...I would do it again any day, even with the 12 hours. Bubblz, I did quarantine the last two I got. But I had no idea I was getting all of these bigger ones, and I wasn't set up to...
So I have a younger black and white tegu, that wasn't in the best of shape when I got her. I thought she had a shedding problem, looked like some stuck skin on her tail. She has been buried under the...
I added a new album to my profile. It shows the newbes and the enclosure. I need to figure out how to upload pics to a post.
So I went on what was supposed to be an 8 hour road trip (4 hours each way) to go look at a red female and huge enclosure Saturday night. Well with Arizona not recognizing daylight savings time, I...
Thank you. There is a slight remote chance that she COULD be in the house. It just depends on which way she went once she escaped.....there is a big tear in the bottom of a screen door that was open,...
The enclosure looks perfect...I just have a question about all the food your stockpiling? If he/she is a yearling, then not only is that a lot to keep in the freezer( not that it matters if you have...
Unfortunately there is no way she could be hiding in her enclosure and I not find her...It is turning cold here now so I will hand out more fliers in May when the other two wake up. I am so mad at...
Nothing yet. Been looking every morning before work and every evening when I get home. I'm going to drop off fliers around the neighborhood asking people to keep an eye out for her. And to let them...
I live in the desert, so there is no real leaf litter for her to get under. I chopped down all the bushes in the backyard to see if she was under one of them. I have my family go walk around outside...
Ohh man yesterday morning i noticed one of my new females got out. She must have gotten out the day before!!! I have them housed out side. I spent 3 hours looking for her until it started getting...
Okay, thanks. If you do decide to ship her, I'll do everything I can for a safe transport.
Man that's cool! I want to do that with my tegu.
I have used oil base primers, and 100% silicone before, with no problems. I would say if you can not smell and vapors, and he is not ingesting anything, then that is not the problem.
