Colombian without a doubt.
I've actually sealed all my vents and even installed rubber weatherstripping around the doors of the cage. My cage is an 8x4x4, so maybe a smaller enclosure might need a little venting, I don't...
It's a Colombian, no doubt about it.
That's a Colombian.
I remember someone using plain old chapstick on their Tegu to help it shed. Also if you let the Tegu cool down it will love being immersed in a hot bath.
If it isn't to big maybe let it bite you? Mine would lunge and bite too until I let it bite me over and over while still handling it. It hasn't bit me yet or lunged at me after that, usually it just...
I've read a lot about Arcadia bulbs but never found them for sale in the U.S.
I would recommend one of these bulbs for UVB http://www.reptileuv.com/megaray-sb-160-watt-self-ballasted-flood-uvb-lamp.php
The best there is in proper UVB output.
Big log is a tree we cut down in the backyard. The tegu is 6" snout to vent and 16" long overall. I haven't handled it in awhile so it was pretty bitey yesterday. It's teeth are so small that it...
I like it! Nice.
Silicon caulk is the best, and that's what you have. Looking good.
is it big? Let it bite you with a glove on, it should know that biting you will not affect you.
MVB? Is it a Powersun? You can lower it if it is a Powersun, their UVB output is horribly low.
I only left the shell because the egg was runny in the middle. I didn't feed the shell to it. I also think grinding the egg shell down is a good idea, and I put it in the meat mix that it gets fed...
Wow! awesome, so clean looking. I had the same problem with long screws, I used a Dremel to grind them down. Walmart, and Home Depot have these palm looking things. I think I got mine for $13.

Video, eating an egg. Also added more pictures to the link below.
good luck finding it. That stuff is so environmentally unfriendly that it seems anywhere west of South Dakota it doesn't exist. I mean the cutting down of cypress for mulch, the tree grows very...

Video of me trying to catch the tegu to take it out. I let it bite me, took it out for a bath, then stuck it back in and it sat on the rock for a bit and went back to...
I have my Colombian in a 8'x4x4' enclosure now.
That is weird, I read cypress mulch is WAAAYYYYY better at holding moisture than coconut coir. Maybe its the temperature? My cool side drops to 72 at night with a high around 80 during the day,...
Weird, do you have a lot of substrate? I have about 10" of coconut coir and have a fan blowing in air also to keep the humidity from rising too much.
Are you using screen or glass? If I don't ventilate my enclosure the humidity climbs to over 80% quickly. Also how big is your enclosure? I think the bigger it is the easier it is to keep humidity...
I used it for the front of my enclosure. I actually thought of using it for the whole enclosure but I knew I would be placing things on top and 5/8 OSB was only $4 more per sheet. I wouldn't depend...
Quick video, should be up by midnight GMT.

Received my UVB bulb but the filament was broken, so returning it on Monday. Also received my LED's. They are BRIGHT!!! Now I need to figure out how to mount them. Also I am lining the ceiling with...
