Yeah, I sold them to one of my friends and they're still living nearby. Things have changed. Short lived after about 10-11 years I guess.

Probably costed about 500ish completely done. Doors/windows and lights were the most expensive.
Update!
So it has been about a year since this was built. It is still super strong. I used pretty thick wood on the top portion of the cage so that it wouldn't give after lots of exposure to...
Cost was around 500 or 600 all together with lights and plexi glass doors. Which isnt all that bad.
same one thats on faunaclassifieds
The Colombian tegu i had would crap every night when i put him in the bath tub. The Argentines havent started doing it yet though :/
That one looks to be 1 year- 18 months old. Not quite a hatchling, but could be nice. Looks super cool!
i could see a 40 gallon enclosure lasting maybee, MAYBE 6 months. depending on how fast the tegu grows. I couldnt see any tegu over a year old living happily in a 40 gallon cage.
How rare are albino tegus?
These guys have the wildest colors, it'll be crazy to see them older, when they get really big.
moar pictures of girl holding tegu :p
good luck. Get that cage 80 degrees with a 100 degree basking spot and see how mellow he is, hah. Even my argentines get a little fiesty when they're all warm.
I think if you underfeed them wont they be more aggressive? I mean its probably not a huge difference, but i know when my tegus are full they're a lot more mellow.
looks like its losing a little bit of color on the back of the neck. So i dont think the green will last a whole lot longer.
Who on here has hybrids? what are your plans with them? I'm thinking about making a hybrid at some point maybe.
lots of good replies in here. I was just trying to think ahead a little bit. I myself, by no means am in to these animals for money. I love my tegus. But someday i'll probably want one or two more...
Hey everyone,
I've only been in the game for short time but i was wondering a few things about tegu breeding. It looks like there are a ton of hybrid tegu babies coming onto the scene. At this point...
looks awesome! but why is it so tall? it looks 3 1/2 feet tall. isnt that kinda overkill cause tegus dont really like climbing? i love the all the decorations in it though.
vegas-lizard is a chick?
man sn's are not very telling hah. good looking tegu!
yeah really, where are all the admins getting their tegus? some magic super smart tegu farm where they love people?
I always wonder what i'd be able to feed my tegus from a meat deli. Any good seafood i should try to feed them theyd like?
these things are wild. would you ever tell how much you paid for it? When i did the research, it sounded like these were really expensive and REALLY hard to keep domestically.
wow he's big for 2 months!
Well i thought i would need lots of lights as well. But im currently running one UVB no heat bulb and one 250w heat bulb and the cage is easily 80+ everywhere, and the basking spot is about 110...
If thats made of wood it could be a good base! My parents were saying i should use an old water bed frame, but i just ended up starting from scratch. be sure to post if you decide to make an...
^^^
mine wigs out when i pick it up, hah. Hopefully he'll mellow out over time.
