Anyways the female will not eat...she seems interested as she will nose the mouse around but she wont eat. I don't think she is sick maybe stressed? i really dont want to brain a mouse...

Maybe she is just getting adjusted to her new home ? Did you offer food as soon as you got her ? Do you have them housed together ? Was it warm ?

Wait 5 - 7 days before offering another.

I separated them for now. the male has been very hissy and bites anything that moves...he has calmed down since feeding. As far as the female....I moved her to a dark plastic tote and i have tried both live and f/t. I'll leave her there a few days...maybe she'll calm down. Oh an the male is in a 55 gallon tank. its a bit big for it but he seems to be okay with it were as i think the female was scared

The female got out. I thought she was secure i had her in a 24 qu. sterilite tote and she just must have pushed the top up.....there that breeding project goes. She was only like 8in long and she had a million places she could've gone. I tore the house apart twice...Its been a long day. I wish you guys could've seen her....she was beautiful.

just keep an eye out for her, she'll go in under couches, beds, cabinets, & heating ducts (any place warm & dark)

mine got out a few weeks ago, but she's just over 4ft so much easier to find.
And my ball got out and woke me up at like 6am by dropping off my wire-like bed frame onto my face (scared the living hell out of me)

    best of luck to you.

@the enigma - DEFINITELY keep an eye out for her; you never know when she might turn up.

I'm sorry, the enigma .... They are the ultimate escape artists.

Years ago, one of my Ball Pythons got out. I just knew he got into the base boards and from there could travel all over. Over a 3-4 month time late summer, quite a few neighbors spotted him, told me, but didn't pick him up, instead came to my door as if they saw a ghost or something ....Uhhhh!

Anywayssssssss, I kept feeder mice back than and one extremely quiet night in the weeee hours, I saw something sticking out of the base boards near the feeder mice I kept on the floor next to the base boards (on purpose) and it was him ! Very skinny and he downed like seven mice when I finally got him out.

Don't give up. Try keeping some feeders on the floor next to something that is dark warm or cool as like Pikey said.
