    Default The All-American Tegu...?

What is this breed? Until I singed up for this forum I have never heard of such Tegu after reading countless caresheets and studies. Here are all the tegus I have heard of:
    The Gold Tegu
    The Red Tegu
The Argentine/Colombian Black and White Tegu
    The Blue Tegu
The "Dwarf" Tegu (Amevia but they arent from the Teguannide (sp?) class I was told. So not a true Tegu)

I have a hard time distinigushing Blue's and B&Ws. I saw an All-American and the pattern seems very similar to an argentine b&w.

    Default All American

This is a hybrid tegu produced by Bobby Hill at Varnyard Herps in Florida. They are 1/4 red, 1/4 blue, and half the Chaocan Giant which is just a larger than normal population of black and white tegu. They are called all American because of the Red, black and white, and blue.

There are quite a few differences between the blues and b&w's.
It's going to take a while to see an average coloring for all americans, because there aren't any full grown yet!

Yeah, there's nothing special you need to do for their care; just provide the same things you would for any Argentine tegu.

The cool thing about it is no one knows what size they max out at or what they'll look like as fully mature adults as of yet.

True. Bobby only bred then for the first time in 2009. We've got one of his 2010 season, and am constantly amazed by the changes in color he goes through with every shed!
