    Default Savannah monitor uvb?

Does anyone keep there savy with out uvb? I have heard/read that Savannah monitors do not need uvb in order to thrive. I even know a couple of people who keep there savy with out uvb and they are happy/healthy as can be, So do any of you guys do this. Or can point me towards article that states they do not need uvb.

I posted this on tegutalk, but i would like as much feed back as possible.

Thats a money saver lol, i read about them not needing uvb and was a bit amazed. I though my friends were being cheap not buying uvb lights turn out they were right, even pro exotics says it,

But what is the best bulb to use for the (heat wise) does zoo med basking bulb do it, or will i need something stronger. Recommendations please?!

I kept my monitor with halogen lamp bought at home depot/canadian tire/etc. They are cheaper, are energy-wise and have a bigger heating surface.

Well, I don't know, usually petshop or petstore will sell ''reptile halogen heating lamp'' which might be more expensive (because it's written ''reptile on it) and cost more in energy. (like 125W, 150W 250W) compare to floodlight halogen lamp found in other store that will be 75W-90W and produce the same amouth of heat.
