You guys can laugh at me but is insectivorous the same as carnivorous?

no, i just went through an ordeal, my Insectivore Australian water dragon stopped eating king worms so i started feeding him what my tegu ate, eggs and many different types of fish talapia, smelt, and less often goldfish and rosy minnows, these foods aren't compatible as a staple diet for insectivore's and had too much preformed vitamin A.
basically he stopped growing and got a small gap at the front of his snout, it took me a while to figure out what was wrong as he ate these food readily. Finally i found out he likes to eat earthworms (no crickets as he lives in a large ferret cage) and after 2 weeks and like 30 night crawlers he has shed, grown, and become more active. his mouth is all the way closed more often too. i now have a roach colony which he seems to love too.

you can feed pinky's and occasional fish but an insectavore needs a staple of insects to be healthy.

    carnivores eat every damn thing.

ok now that being said, question 7 on this quiz asks if all snakes are carnivorous. The answer says it is true, but what about Rough Green Snakes? They are strictly insect eaters, does this define carnivorous?
