    Default My Varanus rudicollis Before/After

Here is my Varanus rudicollis( black rough-neck monitor) 2years ago

He was so skiney, tiny and lovely thing then

and this is his looks today
He's grown 2-3times bigger than 2years ago and looks matured
and I love his moss-green body pattern

Still looks young adult, but Varanus rudicollis grow very slowly basically
You must feed small items on them or they tend to suffer from digestive trouble

    Love their "Bird-a-like" looking!
I think Varanus rudicollis is the best looking in mid-sized monitor!

    Oh! His name is "Kaburi"
he is young, but sometimes he produces his sperm in water already just like every boy does

Very nice! Monitors are nice, but I prefer the thickness of tegus....just my opinion, that's all. However, I do love the close-up of the face and the bird like quality of your monitor.

Thank you for your comments both

Black roughneck monitor is arboreal monitor and they range in deep forest
One day, I would visit where they live(Sumatra Is etc)
Though tegu is lovely and best, roughneck is also cool and lovely for me

I too love all your pictures. I saw the first one when he was little and thought, "oh wow hes so cute and tiny" only to scroll down and see something a bit bigger... Looks great!
