I would just like to add to all of you, I certainly know the money is greatly needed. However, I am filled with heartfelt sadness for the magnitude of losses.

    To everyone

Thank you for your massage and I tell you I am okey
It past 12days after the disaster

Still people who lost their houses and family, friends etc have anxiousness and starvation
A few days ago, people who are forced to live like refugees had thier bath-time after 10days at last
and the government harbor refugees for them
Still missing people are count over 15,000
They have been in mud or washed away on the Tsunami we think
    Survivors embrace thier life, but
it takes disasters to bring communities really together.
They help each other and work for other people(cooking/cleaning/looking after children and old/sick people)
On the other hand, in fact that there are some crime(food burglary/oil burglary/donation burglary/donation actionable fraud/telephone actionable fraud etc)

We Tokyo citizen have calm down for a quick break after calming the big earthquake 12days ago
(Though still we have small earthquake sometimes)
But as you know, there is radiation problem
Hukushima nuclear plant has been destroid and we have lack of electricity now
So we have very very dark day&night for saving on electricity
It's like situation since the world second war, my grandmom said

    Well, about donation
I thank each and every one of member here
But I don't know about US red cross and other donation campaign in USA
Your concern is appreciated for donation, but It means a lot to us you offered.
Your donation will help people in devastated district
But sometimes you will think "Where my money goes to anyway?" "Does my money use for right way for Japan reconstruction effort?"
Then you'll think "which donation campaign is correct?"

    I have a good idea
It's also I want to do when the devastated district recovered from the ruins of earthquake
I ask you buy something made in the devastated district or something which people in the devastated district made or something made in Japan
It'll be economic assistance for us
Now Over 200countries including USA/EU and other Asia are helping us
Japan will be recovered for them if even takes a long time
It's ok even if it was small thing like accessories/T-shirt etc
maybe you can buy them in your town(Made in Japan is everywhere!)
But if you found something made in Hukushima, Iwate, Ibaragi, Miyagi, the devastated district
please you get a thing made in these place preferentially
If you found a thing made in Japan, but you don't know which past of Japan made in, then ask shop assistant or your Japanese friends

You worry about cash donation and you dislike your money goes to somewhere you don't know
Then you buy something made in these devastated district and the thing is with you will be our happiness
Also you can think you did good thing(I think it's good thing for us and thankful)
Foreign exchange will be essential to economic revival
    Not money, but buying goods
Japanese things are high quality(lol) I ensure of that

I have a lot to be thankful for, and good health is the most important of us all.
Today I bought rain-coat for protecting from radiation rain
Today, it is rainning, the first rainning after the disaster

Another interesting thing about the economy and recovery...the recovery itself will boost the economy as areas regrow. There will be investors who bring in money, jobs, etc. It will take time, but Japan is a strong country.

I'm glad you are OK and I pray for those who are still suffering. I hear of remarkable survival stories of people who are just now being rescued.

    Thank you for your comment.
Though the tragedy is continuing, we are recovering days by days.
But people's hurts in the hearts are deep.
Especially, people who lost their house/family/job/home town are depressed...
Still we have serious problem. It is radiation leaking.
The radiation plant has been melted down by Tsunami.
and since then we have had to carried a cross.

You are lucky to be alive. The most I have experienced was over a 7 when I was very young.
