I simple HAVE to share a funny story...
So since the weather warmed up considerably yesterday, I decided to bring the beardies out into the backyard for some natural sunlight. Seeing as how we moved into this new house during the Winter, and because of just how MUCH it's rained for the last couple of months (therefor severely limiting our ability to do yard work), our back yard has become more over-grown weedy clover field than yard, so I was keeping a close eye on everyone, just in case they disappeared down the "rabbit hole" somewhere. Anyway, Leo had been chilling on my leg as I was sitting in the grass, just staring at everything. After about 20 minutes, he slugged his way off of me, and flopped onto the ground (the big guy has always been the very opposite of graceful). Then he... stalked. I can't describe it any other way. He looked just like a small, scaly lion on the hunt. So as I watched, he slowly, stealthily made his way to one the bigger (and REALLY over-grown and fluffy!) clover patches. He paused for a second, and then... BAM!!! He pounced, literally POUNCED, all four legs off of the ground, into the patch, and laid waste to everything, munching everything that was within reach like a Viking Berzerker. I jumped up quickly to pull him out of his own personal culinary war zone, and when I did, he had a small caterpillar on top of his head. I just about fell down laughing. My other beardie, Spaz, just calmly watched the whole thing, with a slightly bewildered expression on her little face.
It just about made my afternoon.
