    Congrats on your first tegu!!

And yeah, the ground turkey IS the one that looks like ground hamburger meat, and no, you don't cook it. They eat it raw. Just make sure that you're adding calcium powder supplements to everything that doesn't already have bones in it (like mice and rats). You can also always mix in their other foods with the ground turkey meat as well, kinda like making them a nice goulash.

It very well may be stress from the move. That's normal. Offer him food every day, but if he's not interested, don't force it on him. If he is interested, offer him as much food as he'll eat in about a 15 minute period. Babies, because they grow so darn fast, need to be offered food every day. There are some people that feed their hatchlings in their enclosure during their "moving stress" phase, and there are some who start feeding out of a separate bin immediately. Be wary of offering him egg too often though; it's not good for him at all. I only offered it once a week at the most, at the very most, when we still had ours.

For ours, I'd offer ground turkey most days with the following different things mixed in (different things on different days): baby food, salmon, tilapia, beef liver, chicken liver, chicken organs, raspberries, blackberries, mangos, cantaloupe, dark leafy greens like collards and mustard greens... and everything was mixed with the appropriate amount of calcium powder. Twice a week they'd both get an appropriately-sized mouse or rat (pinkies or pups, when they were really young). Once a week or so, they'd get dubia roaches (gut-loaded, and calcium powder-coated as well). They also loved superworms, butterworms, mealworms, and hornworms.

Yes, the ground turkey looks just like the hamburger meat. I would get the extra lean or lean kind. I don't feed mine the meat right out of the fridge. I put a bit on a plate and put it into the microwave ( don't coock it ). I have it in there for 3 or 4 seconds. Then I stir it up. If it's still cold I put it in for another few seconds. You do not want any light brown/tan colored meat pieces in there. Those pieces are very hot in the inside and the Tegu can get burnt. You also can mix a bit of all natural apple sauce in there and add the calcium vitamine powder. Or you can puree some fresh fruits and mix it into the ground turkey. But not much. Some Tegus don't like fruits. So if you want yours to get used to the fruits I would start of with just a little bit . Here is some infos on f/t ( frozen/thawed ) rodents. It's also allot cheaper to order from this company.
