beautiful! The only thing I could add is to make sure the bulbs are covered or caged so the tegu doesn't get burned.

Welcome to the site, Thanks for coming and Congratulations on the new additions.

I don't know the size of your Gu but they are smart which makes them very good escape artists. A full grown tegu could easily reach the top of that enclosure. They eventually learn how to get in and out by watching you. Plus they have nothing but time on their hands to find and figure out ways and weaknesses we may not have considered.

Once you add substrate and other things to it there's even less space between the top and the bottom. With that said,.. the ledge on the blocks (I'm looking at the second and last pics) allows traction and resistance for it to push against the top and the screen. Especially when they Tripod and use their tail. What kind of screen is that on top?

And what are the wholes on the side for?
I'm not trying to be negative or anything just pointing out things I see that may or may not be an issue down the line.

Hi TigerPython. Welcome to our Tegu forum family and congrats on your new Tegu. I love the size of the enclosure. I don't want to be rude but I don't think that the screen top is such a good idea. It will be very hard to keep the humidity in there and it will be allot easier for the Tegu to get out. It doesn't look like the screen top is locked down to anything. They are very strong. Since you want to breed your Tegu I wouldn't keep the heat on in the winter time so he can hibernate. Unless it get's below 50 or 60 F. Here is some info on hibernation. If you want to you can put a plastic dog house in there with some dirt or mulch and put a big piece of carpet or a few old blankets over it to keep it warm in there in the winter time when he is hibernating.

This is a video of one of the best Tegu breeders out there ( he passed away a while back ). You can do something like this in the inside enclosure for the winter time.
