    Red face Chick on Blood

Here is my lovely Borneo short-tailed python called "Hoo"
I fed a chick on him today
Soon he bited and constricted it!!!
    Exciting moment!

    He doesn't betray my expectation
Always strikes a prey, even it is a chick/quial/mouse/rat

Look at this jar and neck extending
Now he is my only python and I really enjoy keeping him!

    The feeding is almost done
and wait for around 30~40days(quite long time), then the chick will turn to be sponge-like poop!
Blood python's poop is always beyond recognition LOL
    It's beautiful poop like doggy's
A big poop, bigger than his head

Beautiful snake,.. but I hope you have done your research and continue to do so on Bloods or there will be nothing but hard times a head. Because I don't know of any animal that takes 30 or 40 days to digest a meal. I hope your not just feeding this baby once a month.

    No no
I mean blood python has very very slow metabolism and usually they take poop once for two~three feeding in a poop together
I feed him every 10days, but the chick will be digest for a long time and go out after a month or so with next feeding item usually as a poop
They keep preys in the stomach quite long time for well digesting.
and they put a few feeding items out collectively.

    Thank you for your comments
I like this short tailed python very much
Though the Malayan blood is popular, Borneo is the best for me
