Just wanted to share an amusing story...
Soooooo, I got to experience my first ambulance trip to the ER this evening (don't worry, that's not the amusing part). Apparently, I might have passed a gall stone. Hurt like hell, enough for me to call 911 because I had no clue what was happening to me. Anyway (and here's the amusing part), I had about six paramedics show up at my door. As they were all arrayed around me, taking vitals and my history and stuff, one of them happened to look over into the dining room where I have my beardies. He walked into my field of vision and was all, "Soooo, what are those things in those tanks?" I told him, and then the rest of the guys got really interested. All of a sudden, all but the one guy taking my history left me to go fawn over the beardies. Then they all came back asking questions about them, interrupting the one guy who stayed. It made me laugh. Then another one asked what was in the Rubbermade bin, and they all kind of paused when I told them that it was our dubia roach colony that we raise as feeders for the beardies. In the middle of the pause, I mentioned that the ball pythons were in the other room. So, of course, they all go running in to see them, and came back really bummed that the snakes were hiding in their caves at the time.
The whole thing was hilarious. Ridiculously painful, but hilarious.
