    Default Underweight?

I haven't posted on here in awhile! Gomek is healthy and active, but I can't help but feel that he's a little underweight. What do you guys think? Oh, and if it helps, he's around 18-19 1/2'' long.

Also, I have noticed ''cracks'' in his skin. They're mostly on his tail. He doesn't seemed bothered by them, but I'm concerned. Any Advice?

I think he looks alright, hes got a decent sized tail (at the base). My beardie always seemed thin to me too, he would eat and eat and eat but he never got a nice fat belly. There are certain foods you can try giving him to fatten him up if you're still concerned. I know wax worms aren't the greatest but I fed them to my beardie for a little while to get some fat on him. I'm sure there are other things you can try, maybe phoenix worms or something.
But again, I think he looks alright.

When you look at these markers, he looks good: nice pads on the top of the head behind the eyes, no spine showing, hip bones aren't sticking out, and he has a nice tail base. If you wanted to put more weight on him, go with more insects, but keep the greens up, too. He's a healthy looking beardie. Plus he isn't very old, 1-2 yrs, right? He will probably still fill out.

Yeah, he looks perfectly healthy to me. I don't see the cracks in his tail you are talking about though.

My beardie, Leo, had me worried about his weight for a while. He just looked... skinny to me. As it turns out, just because he didn't have a big ol' belly, he was perfectly fine; when I had taken him into the Vet for a check-up, the X-rays showed he had more than his share of fat deposits.
