Default Journey to the Center of the Earth

So this is the only snapshot I could find on google.... but.. the red dino in Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959) sure looks like the reddest tegu I've ever seen! He may not be a 'gu, but whatever he is/was, I want one. I know they weren't opposed to painting lizards (and gluing on sailfins) for films back then, but his shiny red scales sure look real..

Here is a Dimetrodon (rock iggy with a fin glued on), also from JTTCOTE. He is probably painted black, but idk too much about these guys.

These all met their fate via toothpicks(spears) and hot, viscous red sauce(lava), gotta love vintage hollywood right? :o

Nonetheless, I highly recommend this film

Well, to my untrained eye, the red looks like a tegu. Though I'm thinking that they shellacked him with something to make him that shiny.
