    Default Pet insurance?

Has anyone invested in pet insurance for their scaly friends?

I have it for both my dogs, which has really saved me. However, the insurance that I have for them does not cover reptiles (boo) just cats and dogs.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good carrier or previous experience. I'd just hate for there to be an accident and to be in the pits because of it.

I've been wondering the same thing. In the small amount of looking into the matter, I couldn't find any reptile Vet insurance... but I hope I'm wrong.

I know this isn't too terribly helpful but I know there's pet insurance for odd pets like rabbits, so there should be for reptiles. I wish I knew where it came from though, sorry.

I know http://www.petinsurance.com/plans-an...otic-pets.aspx has an exotic pet plan. But does anyone have any experience with them?

I know this is US based but in the UK there is exotics insurance through Exotics Direct. I got it too late when Bubba was poorly, I could have saved myself £500 - I totally disagree with people who don't think insurance is worth it for small animals, it's lucky I could afford to take him to the vets.

I've never thought about pet insurance before. Seems interesting and I might consider it.
