First off Chriswizz nice purchase. 250 is alot for your typical argentine bw but Suuuuuper cheap for a blue.
Secondly Tupinambis (the poster) is probably the biggest reason I come on this forum. He is what's missing in the American Tupinambis community, the voice of the scientific researcher.
The reason there are scientific names is so that people don't get confused about what they're talking about. How many names are there for Tupinambis Marianae? Giant tegu, argentine black and white tegu, Chacoan giant tegu, extreme giant tegu (coined by bobby hill), blue tegu. That's just the English names and the funny thing is tegus are from Spanish and Portugese speaking countries so we haven't even touched the surface of common names. Guess what they're all Tupinambis Marianae.
I just noticed the 250 was in pounds not American dollars so I really don't know the English market for tegus so let me revise and say welcome to the wonderful world of tegus.
I know it isn't entirely accurate, but a British pound is about $2.
I have to agree with you, Thumper. I know if any of us posts something scientifically inaccurate, tupinambis will set us straight.Thank you, tupinambis for taking the time to share your information with us. It really is appreciated.
