Thread: Tegu with growth on metacarpal.

    Mine was done just for ex-ray purposes, when he was put under, so cannot say for sure with yours. As far as heat before surgery, really does not matter to much there, as they should have him wrapped in warm towels during the down time. They should also have a warm heat pad for recovery process. I am going to say he would be laid on his back while under, during the procedure too, as they will be using a ventilator.
    Did not take long at all for mine to recover from the anesthesia.

    When our female blue/red hybrid Tegu was impacted we used a human heat mat and put the setting on low. This way the Tegu can't get burnt like with a regular reptile heat mat.

    I just discovered this thread. I am sorry that I am late in wishing you and your baby well. I will keep my fingers crossed and will also fire up a couple of prayers as well. Let us know how it goes.
