Default my blues are at it.

for those who dont know ive just swapped my smallest male blue for a female blue, she has only been in with george for one day & hes after her already, she not taking it lightly, didnt realise it was such a rough time. theyve been restling well george mainly trying to dominating her, theyve been biting each others jowels, hes been flicking her with his leggs realy fast, twisting around her, i caught a little bit on vid but i was to engrossed to think about getting my phone out for a start. no one seems to be hurt, what i would like to know is , is all this behaviour normal for breeding tegus & how long can i expect it to last for. heres the short vid.

She might be a little scared since she is in a new home and doesn't know George very well. But yes, this is a normal breeding behavior. Sometimes the females do get hurt. But if she would hold still and you have a tame male then things will turn out fine. Here are some videos from youtube you can check out if you like.

I have to turn on the sound the next time I'm going to watch the video again. I had to have it off because my boyfriend is sleeping (it's late at night). Your son is very cute. To bad kids grow up so fast. I have a son who is turning 18 today. OMG. Where does the time go. OK. I better get to the point now. Sorry about that.
It looks your Tegus did a good job this time. I know he tried to be gentle with her. But I hope she doesn't have any wounds from his teeth. Good luck with everything. Please keep us posted. Thank you.

Your male is such a good boy for being so careful not to hurt her. I have seen some very scared up females before and I got to scared to breed our. One of these days I will.
