    Default I love field herping

...title says it all. This season alone I have so far found: 3 alligators, 2 Yellow Rat Snakes, dozens of Gopher Tortoises and Black Racers as usual, and my first wild Eastern Diamondback, Pygmy Rattlesnake, and also my first wild Corn Snake. As for ''non-herps,'' I have seen more deer this year than ever, 5 wild hogs, some Wild Turkeys, and 2 Sandhill Cranes. I also went camping in April and stayed up all night listening to a Chuck-Will's Widow and some more Sandhill Cranes.

I'll see what else I find this year . This has been the best field herping season yet, and I first got into herping in 2009.

Wow you are so lucky. That is one very nice looking snake . We have a Park about 5 minutes from where we live and I see all kinds of animals in the morning. I love it when the animals and I have a stare down lol. I can do this for a long time . Usually they start to move/leave when someone else is walking by :( . Two days ago I went a different way that I haven't gone before ( it's a huge Park ) and there were 3 houses next to each other. One of them had some Peacocks. They made that cute noise so I did it back to them. After a while I saw something moving on a porch from the other house. It was a man. When I looked at him he waved at me lol. I felt so duhhh lol.

Thanks. I think everyone should be able to get out and see what nature has to offer.

I also have a Youtube account and I upload monthly herping videos. If anybody wants to see them, here's a link:
