    Default Best substrate for babies?

Right now I am using cypress mulch for my baby (I will get pictures posted soon) I am feeding him in a tub, but I still don't like the little sliver-like pieces of the mulch. He comes out with pieces stuck to his head, and with his tongue always going out, I am still afraid of impaction. He loves to burrow so the mulch is good...what can I use to make him happy, and me to not worry?

    Thank you.

Last time I used newspaper as substrate for babies, but found it drying. This time I've been using large aspen and have been happier. Some people use coco or coco(or soil) sand mixtures.
