He was born in the first week of July, so about 2.5 months old at this time. We got him when he was about 3 weeks old.

Wow I believe the guy I got my argentine black and white said mine was born June 26 I didn't get him until 2-3 months though. He did look kind of small for his age when I got him.

Mac is a super eater and growing at the upper range of possible growth I believe, so don't worry if your tegu isn't as big yet... just keep giving him as much food as he wants and he'll catch up. I just measured him before I made this latest vid [another pretty good vid, if I may say so myself =) ] and he is 21 inches now.

Wow, that's incredible. So does he have free range of the entire house or do you limit him to a certain room? Did you do any sort of "baby-proofing" before allowing him to roam free? I can't wait to see him in two years, he'll be the new "lap dog". lol

He has free free range of the entire downstairs, which is about 1600 sqft. I was going to setup one of those child gates at the base of the stairs to keep him down here but he has never tried to go up the hardwood stairs so I haven't installed it yet. He has a pretty set routine though and spends most of his time in the room his basking lamp is in. He will take a few 10 minute road trips to go walk around the kitchen and bathroom every day, but its mostly just basking and sleeping on the couch with us or under the ottoman right by the couch.

I tegu-proofed the whole house right before I started his free roaming training. Lots of duct tape =) The spaces between cabinets/floors/appliances in the kitchen was the hardest part. I pretty much filled any hole big enough for a cricket to get through with cardboard and then 4 layers of duct tape over it. I put some hard plastic door sweeps on all the closet doors so that he could not crawl under the doors(he was only about a month old when I started his free roaming training... so he was REALLY small). I also sealed off the space under the couch with cardboard and ducttape because having to move the couch to get him out from under it kinda freaked him out. The only things he can crawl under now are my bean bag chairs and the ottoman, so it only takes me about 1 min to search the entire 1600 sqrt feet for him.

I can't wait to see him in 2 years also...he is gonna be awesome =)

What do you mean by he is going to be awesome ? He is already awesome . I just read all the posts and Ripkabird98 made a good point about one of your videos. I don't mean to be rude but I really would appreciate it if you could watch your language a bit ( since we do have some kids coming on here ). I just want to keep it clean so parents don't have to worry about their kids being on here. I didn't hear that word in the video before until I read Ripkabird98 post. Because alot of times I have the sound turned of so I don't wake my boyfriend up ( I usually come on here very late at night ). Thank you for your understanding.

I think MacGyver is easier to train then a dog lol.
Rich is not how much you have, or where you are going, or what you are.Rich is who you have beside you.
