11ft x 2ft x 2ft to small?

Hi guys I'm thinking if getting a black and white tegu but I'm concerned about the space I have for him, I have 11ft length but only 2ft high and wide. Is this to small only being 2ft wide? Is rather not have one than be cruel.

For a permanent it should.be at least 3 1/2 ft wife and high

Cheers mate, looks like a tegu isn't for me in that case :(

Mine's only 3 feet wide and they have adequate space for a heat gradient from front to back. Don't despair -- with only 2 feet to move around may an Argentine or Giant Tegu isn't the case for you. There's still the blue tegu (which has not been noted to get much over 3 feet) and the columbian tegu (which many care sheets will say are aggressive, but lots of keepers here have had great success with them).
