    Thanks,I'm almost ready to breed next year,but quick question my female Red is cage aggressive that's how I got her the guy fed her live in her cage,I never did that with my other 2,I put my hand in there cage and they know I'm either taking them to food or cleaning out there cage,but this girl strikes off the back with her tail,she will turn around right...lol

    Your welcome. Good luck with the breeding next year. Are you feeding her frozen/thawed rodents now ? If you are worried about getting bit by her you can cover her up with a towel and then get her out. When she can't see you she can't bite you . There is a good chance that she will calm down when she is going to be used to a different routine.

    Txrepgirl,please tell me this,my male blue from Javier,and blue female from John Darrel are trying to mate,but they are both to young I now I should seperate them,but when will be the appropriate time to put them together,basically what age?hes 5 months and she's 6 months

    That is awfully young for mating behavior. Perhaps dominance or territorial issues? Most breeders breed at 3yo when the tegus are sexually and physically mature.

    i thought my blues were young at under 2 years old when they started, i wouldnt of thought they would be sexually mature yet, but you never know theres a first for every thing.

    I never bred our Tegus yet. I read on a breeders site before that the Tegus are full grown when they are one year old if they don't hibernate. If they hibernate every year then they are full grown when they are three years old. I would wait until they are at least two or three years old. Have you seen any spermaplugs from your male yet ? I would keep them apart for a while ( until they are old enough to breed ).
