Default Hello from a new tegu mama!

Hi all! I have been a lurker on this forum for many years and I want to express my gratitude for all the information this site has available on proper tegu care. I finally decided to get a tegu after many years of waiting for a big enough place to house the adult tank and decent finances to take care of his food and needs, but unfortunately I was one of the many that never received a tegu from Mr Hill this year. Luckily I was able to find a baby at the Sacramento Reptile Expo a couple weeks ago, a little skittish but super cutie maybe male I named Bruce. He is slowly getting used to his new surroundings, eating turkey and eggs like a beast, and my roommate and I have been spending time with him every day to get him comfortable with us. Originally we were gonna name him Gorgo after the old British movie lizard monster, but he looks way too cute to be a destroyer of London.
