    Default Feeding question?

Just got a baby colombian tegu il be feeding him shortly for the first time I was wondering
How to go about this I have crickets and a few super worms
I know to remove him from his cage should I just drop the crickets in with him?
Also should I offer any fruits or veggies?

Columbians don't need the same fruit need that Argentine need and often don't take it. If I sneak it into my Achilles' turkey he'll eat it but not if its separate. I didn't have good luck with crickets or worms but I just put the turkey or mice bits in front of him and he usually goes to it, unless he's having a distracted day and would rather crawl on me for awhile instead.. Good luck!

I feed fruit to my Colombians and they enjoy it. In fact, I find they will eat the fruit before the meat. When they are young though, they tend to be more carnivorous and need the extra protein during rapid growth periods. I just offer a variety of fruits to all of my tegus at almost every feeding.
