Default Tegu Terra Chacoan Giant ..

We got this guy 2 weeks ago From Johnny. I wanted to wait to post pix until after he shed, he started shedding so he looks kind of dark. Obviously I couldnt wait lol! He's about 28' inches long. The pix were taken on an HTC, hope you like Zeek

Congrats on getting Zeek. He's cute . I don't want to be rude but please make sure the flex watt isn't to hot for him. Tegus get their heat from above not from underneath. Do you have a heat lamp with UVA/UVB for him ? Thank you for sharing the photos. I can't wait to see how he looks like after he shedded.

Thank you, And yes I have been in the hobby for about 40 yrs and have had about every animal except the tegus. I the heat tape is temp regulated to keep the water warm for his baths as I do my boas. His 6ft Vision cage has 2 UVB & 1 UV basking plus built in heat Ive had boas my whole life and now we are in for the long haul keeping Tegu's along with my baos. I have the best of both worlds

Outstanding. I'm sorry if I offended you. I didn't mean to. Yes, you do have the best of both worlds. If you don't mind we would love to see some photos of your snakes, too. We love to see all kinds of animals here not just the Tegus . Thank you.

Oh no you didnt offend me no worries It is great that you asked me these questions just in case somebody dosent know about lighting & heat. Ive seen theads with first timers asking questions about things that they should have known before ever getting the animal "basics" Here are my favorite pair of Peruvians BCC true redtails hope you like

Oh WOW. They look awesome . These are the best looking ( and biggest ) ones I have seen. Since I'm just 5'4" I would have a problem picking them up lol.

Your welcome . I would be worried stepping on them since they are longer then I'm tall lol. They also look very heavy.
