Also get Home Depot to cut one of the 4'x8's in half for the sides of the enclosure. If you want the seams to be flush when viewed from the outside you should also cut down the length of the back side. Like if you are using 1" plywood subtract 2" from the piece that will form the back.

I did not do that, so my back will not be flush. Kinda hard to explain, I'll take a picture when finished.

Pictures, the two pink ones will be the back and bottom. The green 4'x4' sheets are the sides. I decided to not paint the top yet because I don't have a color I want, and besides I can always paint it later.

Tomorrow I need to shorten the 8' 2"x3"s by twice the width of the OSB board that I am using. And also the 2x6. Hopefully the pictures tomorrow explain things
    better.
Bought the Tegu from Carolina Reptiles. Arrived today. Ate a piece of grape and some egg mixed with tilapia.

Here is the frame I am making. The front will be figured out later. I have two windows that I got free from the dump for that. They need caulking, sanding and painting.teguframe.jpg

Today I cut 4 of the 2x3s to 4'. Also cut 5 of the 2x3s to 95" and the 2x6 also to 95" long.

I marked out where the three bottom 2x3s would go and then applied lots of glue, flipped the OSB sheet on top of the 2x3s lined them up with a hammer and drilled and screwed them together with 1 5/8" screws. Used 5 screws per 2x3.

Flipped that over and used glue and 3" long screws to attach 4 of the 4' 2x3s to the horizontal 2x3 in the back.

Used plenty of glue and 1 5/8" screws to attach the back to the upright 4' 2x3s. Also put three screws in at the very bottom to screw the OSB into the OSB. Also used 5 screws per 2x3 to attach the back. I mounted the back OSB board flush with the floor. That way I have less cutting and a half inch slit at the top for ventilation. If I need to I can always get quarter round molding to close it up.

Pictures of the screw for securing the bottom OSB sheet to the back OSB sheet more firmly. Second picture is the half inch gap along the back wall.
Eating tilapia coated in egg. Also looks like a gold one, not a black and white one.
