Hi georgiategu. Just want to see how things are going with your Tegu. Did he start to eat more yet ?

Not much at all if any, its been over a week since it has ate, It just moves his food around, maybe it ate a bite that I didn't see, I'm hopping it starts seating soon because its really starting to worry me, it temperament is still great and doesn't seem stressed but I only handle it very Lil every day only as needed until it starts to eat more. That's first on my list of priorities, I don't want it to feel stressed or anything until it eats more, it starting to warm up here so maybe that will help

Thank you for the reply. What are the basking temps ? You might have to up the temps ( not more than 115 ). Is your bulb a all in one ( heat, UVA/UVB ) ? How far away is it from your Tegu ? I know you don't want to stress him out. But in case you feed him inside the enclosure I recommend feeding him in a dark bin. Try to cut up some salmon ( or other fish ), put it into a bowl with some warm tap water ( to warm it up ). After about 5 minutes squeeze the fish to make sure it's not to hot. Then give it to your Tegu. Here are two videos of our two All American Tegus when we first got them. They were very picky eater and they loved the salmon.
