I'm so glad she finally ate something. Please let me know how she will like the Oxbow.

I will. I wish she would bask more. I have to wake her up to get her to bask. Most days she stays buried the whole time.

Me too. I am starting to worry I have had her for more than two weeks. She only comes out to bask if I mess around with her substrate even then it is only for a brief time. She has eaten one mouse he only other thing she eats is turkey. I always offer her a wide variety but she goes back to what she was fed her first year.

You sure do have a very hard headed Tegu lol. I wish I could help you. The only thing I can think of is stop feeding her what she is used to. If she gets hungry enough she might go for the other food.

I stopped two days ago she never comes out to bask anyways. I dont think it is healthy to eat and not bask to digest it. I am just going to let her stay hidden until she comes out. Even when I get her out she goes right back under. Maybe she is just having a very hard time adjusting to her new place. This is by far the most trouble I have had getting a reptile adjusted.

You are doing the right thing . I hope she will come around and get used to things fast and start eating. I don't remember hearing about a Tegu taking this long.
