    Default Crayfish

took the hour drive over to lake tahoe today and caught 6 crayfish to see if my tegu, savannah, and nile would like them. Brought them home and cut off their claws with my dogs nail clippers and let them go at it...My savannah and nile loved the crunch of the shell, Teggy had more fun with it before he ate it; ripping it into pieces, head, body with a claw, the other claw and arm, and its tail were all separated before he ate the pieces one by one...it was grusome but an extremely healthy meal for them.

they are actually really good i used to make them all the time when i go camping but their shells are pretty thick so it makes a gnarly crunch for the lizards
