I have breeding bins and I have growing/feeding off bins. I clean out my breeding bins every 4-6 weeks and move the babies to my feeding bins. I use separate bins so that I don't have to mess with my breeders much. Mine are in my closet where I have a heater to keep the temps up around 80. Then I have a heating pad under my egg flats to keep that side a little warmer. You need to get the temps on at least one side of it closer to 90 degrees or they won't breed much. As for feeding/watering - just keep the food and water gels clean. Don't leave food in there long enough for fruit flies/mold to start. The water gels will usually keep your humidity high enough for them to molt, so the main thing is getting your temps up. I would suggest keeping them in a small area that you can keep warmer, then your uth will finish heating it the rest of the way.
At the moment I have 7 bins of various sizes: 2400+ females, 600+ males, and last time I cleaned my breeding bins (was about 6 weeks) I have over 15k babies. I am excited that I may be able to start supplying a pet store soon. Your bins look good to start =)
I have a mini and a small both heating one side of the bin. I checked the temp with one of those temp guns an it was around 90-92 on the bottom of the bin but only around 75-80 at the top of the cardboard inserts and I would like it to be a little warmer to promote breeding
kaylorin: I generally change the fruit and veggies out every 2 days and the roach chow an water crystals are usually gone within 5-7 days depending how much I put in there. Should I be changing the water crystals and chow more often? And thanks! That's good to know I'm on the right track lol

I haven't tried this yet. But maybe you could put a old blanket that you don't need any more or a old towel over the bin. Just cut out a hole in the towel/blanket where the screen it on the lid. This might help to keep the heat in a bit more.
