Default Is my guy a Blue?

Hi, I'm wondering if my guy is a Blue... I bought him privately as a Black & White but he has the nose smudge that makes me wonder otherwise.

So what makes a "blue" a "blue", and likewise, what in that photo says "no, this cannot be a blue"? Considering no one keeps pedigrees on tegus, the morph of "blue" was originally quite subjective, and in fact the same goes for the other Salvator merianae morphs, this really needs to be ascertained.

Got the nose and tear drop mark of a blue, not a high white, could be blue x B&W

Hi Helzar. Welcome to our Tegu forum family and congrats on your new Tegu. I could be wrong but it looks like a female to me. Can you feel any bb's ( a small bump on each side of the vent ) ? If yes than you have a male. I'm thinking the same thing stuee is.

Has the markings and characteristics of a blue to me. It just has more of an even speckled pattern than more high white blotches like most blues that we're use to seeing. Like these two,
