    Hi, this is my hatchling Chacoan Giant White-Headed Tegu, "Storm" (female)..

    Here's her lil' world, for now (five weeks, tops..)

    Awesome. She's perfect! Where did you get her from? I just got my own female chacoan giant hatchling from Underground Reptiles a couple of weeks ago. They are so cool!

    Well your tegu is looking good, and his home is also very nice, I m new to reptiles and don't have much knowledge about them can you tell me is that safe to pet a tegu in home?

    Yes, they are.. as with any other reptile, it's best to get them young, or if you want bigger, find one that was a pet, or was handled often. . If not handled, most revert to defensive instincts... handle them, and allow them to spend time around you, away from their housing.. watch youtube videos on taming (Tegugirl, illdaddyrod, Randy Johnson, Reptile Whisperer, and others have great vids)...
