Default Bought red tegu from tegu terra

I received my first red tegu from tegu terra today. I am very pleased with the quality of the reptile and the customer service. I initially wanted a black and white, but also wanted it to be a hatchling. The only black and whites he had were yearlings. Johnny and I emailed back and forth and he answered all my questions without making me feel like an idiot. I then went to his website and bought a red because they had one left and it was a hatchling. Johnny called me to verify I had not mistakenly ordered the red, since our emails were about the black and whites. We talked about many aspects of the tegu care and he corrected some misconceptions i had about them. It was by far the best customer service I have received from a breeder. Thank you Johnny for your professionalism and knowledge.

Congrats Matt on your new Tegu. He is so cute and very good looking. I'm happy to hear that you had a great experience with Johnny. I hope we will get to see some more photos of your Tegu as he grows up. Oh, I almost forgot. Do you have a vent inside the enclosure ?

Yes. There is a 1/4" to 3/8" above each door.

So your red is a hatchling? I ordered a chacoan yearling not long ago from johnny and am enjoying it very much, just hasn't been eating much but hopefully that changes soon as the seasons change, can you post some pics?

Ya mine is still doing its hiding thing. Once in awhile it will come out. I think this is pretty normal for any new animal when getting acclimated to a new environment. Photos are in my first post.

It's from last year. I saw it on the website a while back.
