Unfortunately there is no way she could be hiding in her enclosure and I not find her...It is turning cold here now so I will hand out more fliers in May when the other two wake up. I am so mad at myself for losing her.

I know it's very heart breaking that you haven't found her yet. But please don't be so hard on yourself. We all make mistakes. This is how we learn. Just keep hanging in there and we all hope that she is well and that you are going to find her sooner or later.

Thank you. There is a slight remote chance that she COULD be in the house. It just depends on which way she went once she escaped.....there is a big tear in the bottom of a screen door that was open, So if she went right and not left or straight, she could be hiding in the house somewhere???? There is so much going on at my house right now that I have just begun tearing the rooms apart one by one looking for her. It's a long shot but I wont leave a rock unturned or a room untossed!!!

Your welcome. If she is in the house you can try to put a basking spot up and some food. Put the food and the basking spot in a different room after two days. Hope this will help ( most of the time it did ). Thank you for keeping us posted.

Well unfortunately there is not a happy ending to this story. After 3 months of looking, when I went out in the back this morning I got such a surprise. I saw my long lost female, not more then 20ft from the house. At first I thought she was basking in the sun, but as I got closer I could see something was not right. She must have died early this morning. I could not see any external injuries or bite marks from a dog cat or coyote, and she was still very limber. She had good weight and even looked a bit bigger then when she got out. The only thing I can think of is that the only access to water was the neighbors swimming pools, and even though she could have gotten to the three pools easily, she must have succumbed to dehydration. So sad.

I am so sorry for your loss. May she R.I.P. and my God give you comfort to your mind and healing to your heart. I know you are going through a very hard time right now. If you want to you can post something about her and a photo in the link below. This way we can keep her and you in our prayers.
