    Default New Tegus arrived!

Just got my 1.2 Chacoan Giant Tegu Yearlings from Tegu Terra today!!

Tango has a few new friends. They woke him up from his nap with all their running around.

Here is a couple of pictures in their temp cage until Nov 3rd when the new enclosures will be delivered.

    New Tegus:

    Male : Sheddy*
Female 1 : April* (from the ninja turtles).
    Female 2 : Luna

Tango on the bottom and Luna on the top.
I love here darker/shattered pattern above her shoulders very distinct from the others

Tango my first/original is from N.E.R.D. and I'm not sure where they got him from.

The new three are from Johnny with clutch numbers and hatch dates, etc...

Only the new male has come back out from hiding (or getting ready for brumation) so I haven't had much time to handle/work with them.

I thought this might be of interest to you seeing as you recently purchased animals that look like TegusOnly Florida WC Tegus. http://www.tegutalk.com/threads/anyo...6/#post-142700

The new Tegus are doing well and hopefully will get more pictures tonight.
I've talked a lot with Johnny prior to the tegus arriving and after, and don't have any reason to believe my tegus are anything but Teguterra born and raised.

Johnny had done business with Rodney in the past, but primarily for future breeders, etc...
He said that most of the animals he received were not healthy.

I've also talked with a few others who have gone and visited Johnny and picked up animals from his facility and they had nothing but great things to say about the animals that he is raising. I'm also planning a trip down there once the weather warms back up.

    Currently it's a he says/she says scenario and i'm on Johnny's side

It is definitely a he said/he said and has the potential to look really ugly. I'm not on anyone's side, btw. lol. I just like information. Sometimes people get that concept confused with character attacks, etc. I try very hard not to biased and look at each situation and person in their own individual view. I may not get it right all the time, but I do strive to stay neutral.

I must say, I was wishing for more room and cash to catch a pair of the 2011s he's selling to get a jump start on breeding for the coming season. I really don't think Johnny would be selling wild caught as his own, especially at inflated rates, as that post suggests. There's always someone out to discredit others for their own gain. Varnyard used to blast everyone that saw anything different than he did and I really dislike that type tactic in sales of any sort. That said, I will be the first to call BS when I see it for myself. IF Johnny bought from this guy, I'm sure it was to diversify his own stock. I'm buying blues from him as soon as they're ready and I'm certain they'll be the best to be found. He's only a couple hours from me and I'll get to hand pick my tegus, an experience I've yet to find in my own tegu purchases in the past.
Congrats on your new family members, draco2003! I hope they acclimate well to their new surroundings.
