Need a new home for my Black and White Colombian Tegu
I am a middle school science teacher, and originally bought my tegu to be a classroom pet. I have found that he is nervous around the students, and I just don't have the time needed to tame him. I am hoping that there is someone who would be willing to take him in that can spend the time to tame him, and make sure he has a great life. He is less than one year old, and is about 1.5 feet long. He is a beautiful specimen, and eats great. He is still on worms and crickets, but is big enough to try out pinkies and such. If you are interested, I can drive him anywhere in Utah, or the surrounding states up to around 8 hours.
I am asking $200 USD, obo.
Included is:
Sir Rupert the Tegu...my students named him
40 gallon tank with place for padlock (some damage from heat lamp)
Powersun UV lightbulb and holder
Reptile vitamins and calcium powder
litter scooper
chopsticks for grabbing the worms
2 bags of unused coconut fiber substrate
2 pack of tropical moss (unused)
2 log hides
1 large water corner dish
1 spray bottle meant for reptile cages
1 humidity gauge
1 temperature gauge
1 heating pad meant for glass cages
1 frozen pinkie mouse
cover for half the cage to contain humidity in dry environments
1 large cricket cage
1 small ceramic water dish for cricket cage
Please help me find Sir Rupert a new home. He needs one badly, and I feel terrible that I don't have enough time to give him the attention that he needs.
Email me at emmajmyers@gmail.com, or comment here if you are interested, or know someone that would be.
Thanks,
Emma Myers
