Hi al914. Could you please post some photos. This might help you get a buyer faster. If you want to you can check out Fauna to place a Ad there, too. Good luck with finding a good home.

are you still selling your tegu? I live in maine and i am able to give you 250 for the tegu. looks like your tegu is well fed! looks nice. I alreafy have a tegu that is about 2 feet long right now and I would likw to get her a buddy. I am building her a new enclosure right now and I think there will be space for two adults in there. it will be 6 feet by 3 feet.

6x3 is not even enough for one adult let alone two. Tegus aren't lonely animals so they don't need "buddies" unless you are planning to breed. $250 is WAY overpriced for a tegu. I would advise not to purchase this animal. To the person selling the tegu, a 55 gallon tank is not close to big enough for that wonderful creature.

How large of a tank should I build for two? Or one?

One should have a minimum of 8x4. I don't know what the rules for two are.

    Woah..talk about crossing the line....
Why would you jump ON MY TREAD and tell someone to not buy MY tegu...
What grounds do you have for this exactly?

250 WAY over priced?? that's what he/she offered...

Others are $200 + oh don't forget SHIPPING!!!!
And a 55 gallon IS SUITABLE for it's current size

Not to mention 8x4 is massive. Maybe for someone who never lets their tegu out of their enclosure. Plenty of people keep full grown tegus in 6x2 enclosures but they let their tegus free roam much of the day like I am planning on with mine. My opinion 6x3 is close to minimal but definitely suitable for one tegu.
