Default Do They Lay Unfertilized Eggs?

    Hey guys,

Do female Tegus lay unfertilized eggs even if they haven't been bred?
This is very concerning for me because I had a chameleon that became egg bound from laying unfertilized eggs, and ended up passing away. Any information is appreciated!

    Thanks

No they don't, they only lay eggs when being bred, but sometimes the eggs come out unfertilized so you have to breed them again until they become fertile

Female tegus ovulate each year under the right conditions, but if they do not mate, will reabsorb the follicles before they turn into eggs.
